1. Summary
This policy explains how the Unstable SMP team handles personal data. It covers this website, the Minecraft server at unstablesmp.io, the official Discord and the official store.
2. This website
This site is a static website. It does not require an account and does not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics or marketing pixels.
The only network request the site makes beyond its own files is a request to a public Minecraft server status service, to display the live player count. That request does not include any identifier belonging to you.
Like any web server, the host records standard request logs including IP address, browser user agent, requested page and timestamp. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
3. Minecraft server data
Like any Minecraft server, Unstable SMP stores the data needed to run the game:
- Your Minecraft username and account identifier.
- Position, inventory, health and experience.
- Placed blocks, chests, signs, skins and statistics.
- Chat messages and command usage.
- IP address, used for session management and moderation.
This data is required for the game to function. It is retained for as long as your account exists on the server and is used for moderation, anti-cheat enforcement and dispute resolution. It is not sold or shared for advertising.
4. Moderation records
When a rule is enforced, the moderation action and the reason are recorded. These records are kept to prevent repeat offences and to handle appeals, and may be retained after a player leaves.
5. Discord
The official Discord server is operated on Discord's platform. Joining it means your data is handled under Discord's own privacy policy in addition to this one. Discord collects device, usage and content data to operate the service, and shares it with the server operator for moderation purposes.
6. Store and payments
Purchases are processed by a third-party store platform. That platform collects the payment and billing information needed to complete a transaction. Unstable SMP receives order details - typically the transaction reference, the product, the amount and the Minecraft account the purchase is bound to - but does not receive or store full card details.
Store and payment data is subject to the privacy policy of the store platform as well as this one.
7. Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies. If third-party links are followed - the Discord invite, the store, or a server directory - those services may set their own cookies under their own policies.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise a right, contact the team through the Discord or by email.
Data held by the Minecraft server cannot be deleted through this process while it is required to run the game, but it is removed when the account is deleted on the server.
9. Children
The server is not directed at children. Players must meet the minimum age to hold a Minecraft account in their country, or have parental consent. We do not knowingly collect data from players who are below that threshold without consent.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated as the server, the Discord or the store platform change. The revision date at the top shows the last change.
