Why events matter on this server
Unstable SMP has up to 14,000 player slots, which is enough population to make server-wide events work. Most events need no sign-up - you join, you participate. The exception is creator video sessions, which are announced in advance.

Types of event
Creator video sessions
Wemmbu, FlameFrags, ParrotX2 and Spoke film their series on the server. Sessions are sometimes announced in Discord ahead of time, and may briefly move players to a lobby.
FFA tournaments
Organised free-for-all fights in the FFA arena. Brings together a slice of the server's combat community in one place.
Build competitions
Building events judged by the community, from redstone and megabuilds to survival architecture.
How to find out what is running
Event announcements are posted in the official Discord first, and the website is not updated as quickly. If you want to know what is running tonight, the announcements channel is the source of truth.

Creator video sessions
Wemmbu, FlameFrags, ParrotX2 and Spoke all film on Unstable SMP. Large sessions are sometimes announced in Discord ahead of time, and some of them briefly move players into a separate lobby or event world before opening up.
If you join during a session, expect temporary restrictions while filming is in progress. Details are always posted in the announcements channel beforehand.
How to prepare for an event
- Join the server in advance and get oriented - most events start at or near spawn.
- Bring your own gear. Events rarely lend equipment and resources are consumed fast.
- For FFA, bring potions, food and maces you can afford to lose.
- For build competitions, claim your plot before the start time.
- Keep an eye on the Discord announcements channel on the day.
Events change often and this page only documents the permanent categories. Always confirm the current schedule in the official Discord rather than relying on the website.
